On March 5, 2012 at Dataran Wawasan UPNM, the Gamelan Citra Nusantara Group has been performed in conjunction with the 'Majlis Ucaptama Naib Canselor 2012'. ,The gamelan is played to welcome UPNM students, staffs and officers. Before the arrival of Vice-Chancellor, gamelan starts with the song "Ayak Mula' and followed by 'Perarakan'. The arrival of VC next was greeted with the 'big pipe' and gamelan music stopped. Then, gamelan accompanied 'Marksman' who paraded up the stretcher. After the event,Inang Cina, Wau Bulan and Ikan Kekek was played to accompany the students march out of the Dataran Wawasan.
